I think Dale is saying something like...
"Too bad our creator is a talentless hack with writing... dooming us to be in random illustrations and never have any actual stories" either that or he is telling Fran how totally awesome he is. LOL!
Yes, the Scaries are back in their new form. I did some playing around with inking and coloring. I wanted the background to be a little rough compared to the characters. I was going for watercolor, but looks more like really dried out dollar store markers. *sigh*
